The Business
Badlands Paintball was founded in 1988 in Kansas by a pair of brothers with a passion for shooting things with balls of paint. That passion has carried the company from a single brick-and-mortar storefront to become one of the largest commercial paintball and airsoft retailers in North America, with five physical locations and five eCommerce websites.
The Challenge
Badlands knew that generating significantly more revenue online meant a more sophisticated approach to email marketing (i.e. not MailChimp) through abandoned cart notifications and triggered automations, but solutions that offered integration with PrestaShop were proving to be complex, time-consuming and costly.
The Solution
Remarkety seamlessly integrated with PrestaShop’s backend, allowing Badlands to both combine and then segment their contact lists with their five online properties. From there, they were able to create a series of campaigns built around browser behavior, related product suggestions, cart abandonment notifications and pertinent new product announcements.

The Results
Badlands launched its first Remarkety campaign in the Spring of 2017 and saw a staggering Open & Click Thru rate of over 50%. As if that weren’t remarkable enough, their Conversion Rate on that initial user-behavior focused campaign was over 10% on a send of over 11,000 emails.
